About the middle of last year 2013, we started using a new procedure to treat Blepharitis called Blephex. It has been a significant advance in the treatment of this frustrating eye disease. At least now we have something that finally works on nearly everyone with Blepharitis. It can be found at the Eye Practice in the Sydney CBD.

Posterior blepharitis is also called meibomian gland dysfunction. It is the most common cause of dry eyes. There are a number of potential treatments depending on severity - very person is unique.
1. Warm compresses and gentle massage
2. Gentle eyelids scrubs
3.Topical steroid eye drops
4. Topical Azasite eye drops
5. Oral (tablet) doxycycline
6. LipiFlow treatment after other options have been implemented.
